Venezuela applauds Brazil's call to respect Latin America as a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone

The Bolivarian Government, representing the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirms the status of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone since 1967.

This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, in his account on the social network Telegram.

In his message, the foreign minister said: “He also applauds President Lula Da Silva's call to respect this status and to revitalize multilaterality during the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations.”
