The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deepest indignation and absolute condemnation at the systematic barbarism that the Zionist regime of Israel continues to carry out against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Netanyahu regime has become a criminal machine comparable, in its cruelty, to the most atrocious crimes of the 20th century. But while Nazism was acting in the shadows, Zionism is carrying out an extermination in broad daylight, mocking the conscience of humanity and international law.
These war criminals carry out one of the
most inhumane practices known: the deliberate killing of civilians in food
distribution centers. Hundreds of people have been executed in
cold blood while looking for food or water. Entire families have been targeted by
snipers and drones, as part of a planned extermination policy, exercised with total impunity.
Simultaneously, the Israeli regime has intensified its illegal annexation of Palestinian territory in the West Bank, in open and repeated violation of international law. This conduct violates the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the appropriation of occupied territories by force, contravenes United Nations Security Council resolutions and constitutes a crime of aggression, apartheid and colonialism.
Venezuela requires the United Nations to act
immediately and decisively. The
General Assembly and the Security Council must stop this massacre,
stop the illegal annexation and ensure that Netanyahu, his collaborators and all
those responsible face justice. There is no eternal impunity: sooner rather
than later, they must be tried and convicted.
We reaffirm our firm, unwavering and militant support for
the right of the Palestinian people to constitute a free, sovereign and
independent State, with the pre-1967 borders and
East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
