The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on behalf of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accompanied this Tuesday the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Strategic Partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, with a floral offering before the sarcophagus that holds the mortal remains of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the National Pantheon, in Caracas. In addition to the Venezuelan foreign minister, the ceremony was led by the ambassadors of China and Russia, Lan Hu and Sergei Mélik-Bagdasárov, respectively, accompanied by the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Bolivarian nation. Relations between Russia and China reach a significant moment this year in 2026, as two key milestones are commemorated, such as the 30th anniversary of the strategic coordination partnership between the two nations and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good Neighbourhood, Friendship and Cooperation. These agreements have been fundamental to consolidate a model of cooperation based on mutual respect, sovereignty and shared benefit. Moscow and Beijing have reiterated their intention to continue to deepen their strategic partnership, betting on a cooperation model that prioritizes dialogue, coordination and joint development, in an increasingly complex international environment.
