The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, congratulated those people of Angola on the 50th anniversary of the declaration of their independence.

Through his Telegram channel, Gil said that this achievement “opened the way to peace, to a sovereign State and to the vindication of a diverse cultural identity”.

He also reiterated Venezuela's desire to strengthen the historical ties that unite us with the Angolan people “and reiterates its commitment to cooperation in various fields, such as the economy, politics and culture.”
