Venezuela debates at climate conferences in the city of Bonn in Germany

The Venezuelan delegation participates in the city of Bonn, Germany, in the negotiating conferences of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, where it defended the need to close the gap in the implementation of the Paris Agreement through immediate actions to reduce emissions and strengthen Nationally Determined Contributions as a central mechanism for climate compliance.

Delegates from the Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism, the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology, the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace through the National Institute of Hydrology and Meteorology and the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs participate in the 64th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation, which are part of the preparatory route to the next Conference of the Parties to be held in Antalya, Türkiye, in November 2026.

The technical discussions advance the harmonization of the issues that will be raised to COP31 and focus on translating multilateral commitments into verifiable results through effective emission reductions and the strengthening of the transparency, financing and execution processes that make up the global climate action agenda.
