Venezuela debuted with victory against the Dominican Republic in the women's U-18 AmeriCup

Venezuela's U18 women's national team won against the Dominican Republic, with a score of 77 to 60, in the AmeriCup 2026.

In an outstanding day for Astrid Inojosa, the Criollas swept, after scoring 31 points against the 15 that their rivals managed to score in the fourth quarter. The national team scored 26 points in the counterattack by just eight in the Dominican Republic.

Although Alejandra Cabeza managed to provide 11 rebounds, the figure of the match was Inojosa with 33 points, four steals and six assists. Venezuela will face Puerto Rico this Wednesday.
