Venezuela develops potential for Russia's Future Games

The president of the Venezuelan Electronic Sports Federation, Emgelbert Farfán, said that electronic sports are growing significantly both nationally and internationally, so Venezuela has the potential to participate in the Games of the Future in Kazan, Russia.

In an interview for the program Buena Vibra, which broadcasts Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he highlighted that in the country there are initiatives with the Venezuelan Youth Mission, for the development of the ecosystem system at the local level.

“Venezuela has participated in three world electronic sports championships,” he said and stressed that the Federation works for the development of video game ecosystems.

The event to be held in Russia integrates the physical spectrum of conventional sports with the digital aspect involved in electronic sports, which is the responsible use of new technologies, said the representative of the Federation.

“A person who can play from home or a telephone console is not the same as preparing an athlete who attends a world competition, where physical preparation (nutrition, psychological support) comes in like any conventional discipline,” he said.
