Venezuela expresses its condolences to Türkiye for the death of the vice-president of the Parliament

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil Pinto, in the name of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, Bolivarian Government and people of Venezuela, expressed his regret over the death of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, vice-president of the Turkish Parliament.

Through his Telegram channel, Gil wrote: “At this time of mourning, the Venezuelan Government and people extend their deepest condolences to the sister people of Türkiye, to the Grand National Assembly and to the families and relatives of the distinguished parliamentarian, whose political trajectory and commitment to their nation leave an indelible mark.”

The Vice President of the Turkish Parliament died at the age of 62, due to multiorgan dysfunction after being in a coma for 18 days due to a heart attack.
