Venezuela expresses to Syria its wishes for a peaceful resolution in the face of the political situation

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through an official statement published on the Telegram channel of the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, expressed its wishes for the pacification of Syria, regarding the recent events that occurred in the political sphere.

In the letter, Venezuela reiterates its commitment to the preservation of the territorial unity of Syria, as well as to the defense of its sovereignty, independence and absolute respect for the values enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is following closely the events taking place in the Syrian Arab Republic, expressing its firm desire that this brotherly people can find a path to the peaceful resolution of their differences, without external interference or the use of violence as a mechanism to address political conflicts.

Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to the preservation of the territorial unity of Syria, as well as to the defense of its sovereignty, independence and absolute respect for the values enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, with special emphasis on the preservation of the civil, political and human rights of its entire population, without distinction. This includes the protection and peaceful coexistence of the diverse religious, cultural and ethnic expressions that enrich the identity of that country, Cradle of Civilizations.

Venezuela reaffirms its solidarity with the Syrian people at this crucial moment and urges the international community to promote solutions that contribute to peace, eradicate violence and terrorism, and build paths of integral development in Syria.
