Venezuela made progress in strengthening its air connectivity with the issuance of the authorization of the Fifth Freedom of Air for the operation of the Istanbul—Caracas—Lima route, a decision announced during a meeting between the Minister of Transportation, Jacqueline Fanía, the country's aeronautical authorities, the Turkish ambassador to Venezuela, Aydan Karamanoğlu, and representatives of Turkish Airlines.

The meeting made it possible to evaluate new opportunities for cooperation in the field of air transport and to expand interconnection mechanisms with markets in the region. The authorization granted will facilitate the expansion of commercial operations and access to strategic routes for passenger mobility.
