Venezuela highlights coordination for Dutch Navy frigate navigation

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reports that, on September 14, 2025, the navigation of the Frigate “ZR. MS. Van Amstel” (F831) of the Navy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in waters adjacent to the Venezuelan Exclusive Economic Zone, off La Orchila Island.

This was reported by the Bolivarian Government, through an official statement, published by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on his social media accounts.

The statement highlights: “This operation was successfully carried out thanks to the coordination carried out through diplomatic channels with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in strict compliance with existing international protocols and bilateral agreements, which guaranteed a climate of mutual trust and full transparency.”
