The Deputy Minister of the Communalization of Science for Production, Danmarys Hernández, reported that Venezuela has formed official delegations in the area of science, with the purpose of moving forward and showing the world the achievements achieved by the country.

“The thing is that we are the Top 10 in the world in robotics and that should not be a secret for our people, because we have advanced and taken decisive steps thanks to the Bolivarian Government, thanks to the Great Science and Technology Mission, thanks to the support and vision of President Nicolás Maduro in the National Scientific Seed Program,” he said in an interview for the program “Café en La Mañana”, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

He indicated that, through policies promoted by the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology, students are guaranteed to develop their potential.

“We have had the formation of official delegations, and that is also important to mention, it is a historic milestone in the area of science that the Venezuelan State, already through this program with boys, girls and young people, forms official delegations,” he insisted, stressing that they are not individuals or dispersed participations, but official delegations federated by the Venezuelan State in the areas of mathematics, physics, nanotechnology and robotics, where he highlighted the existence of an entire educational phenomenon.

“Seeing young people programming on site, meeting challenges in front of the entire planet is unparalleled and being among the first places in the different categories and disciplines is lost sight of,” he said, about the importance of this global achievement in science and technology.

Extensive training

He also highlighted the territorial deployment of all the institutions of the Venezuelan State, both of the ministries of Science and Technology, Education and University, with which boys, girls and young people carry out and learn in different training, medical-recreational and technical activities. “And we are deepening the level of training in different disciplines, such as robotics, programming, microscopy, astronomy, nanotechnology, and we are, of course, strengthening those agendas.”

He announced that in 2026, the Little Engineers program will be developed, which is part of the technological strengthening following the decision of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, in 2025, to work on the assembly of 30,000 electronic units or kits, which are now delivered to technical schools to promote programming, electronics and, of course, robotics.

He said that the deepening of this agenda will continue, as well as of the Olympics, which is a means of participation, but also of training. “And not only to fulfill the international commitments that our Scientific Seedbeds demonstrate and participate in international exams, but we also massively strengthen participation, capacity development, collective work, logical critical thinking and, well, all these agendas, together with science classrooms and teaching centers for teaching science,” he summarized.

Finally, he confirmed that this entire ecosystem has made it possible to serve and strengthen knowledge in the new generations, but also where communities, teachers, facilitators come together with children, interested in these agendas where projects and solutions specific to Venezuela are built.
