The Venezuelan Embassy in Kazakhstan presented coffee, cacao and other domestic products at the first International Coffee Industry Exhibition “Astana Coffee Expo”, on September 10 and 11, in the city of Astana.

This large scale event was organized by the Kazakhstan Coffee Association, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of this Central Asian nation.

The Diplomatic Mission of Venezuela exhibited a sample of natural coffee beans, cacao and other products from the Latin American country.

Ambassador Rosalba Lo Bue Antico spoke about the impeccable quality of Venezuelan coffee and the competent approach to its cultivation .

“Coffee is our gold, which we appropriated long before oil and gas were discovered on our land. We fully understand the value of this product after the pandemic. Then, our president Nicolás Maduro called on the people to return to the land, to pay homage to our destiny: Venezuela is a typical agricultural country. State programs to support the agricultural sector have allowed us to achieve amazing results: coffee exports have increased by 500%!” , highlighted the Chief of Mission.

He assured that the State provides all possible support to coffee farmers in more than one hundred municipalities in the country. From there, the products are exported to 21 countries, including China, Russia, Belarus, Türkiye, Serbia, Japan, and even to the United States and other European countries.

Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries are of great interest to Venezuela. Through Kazakhstan, we will be able to sell our coffee to neighboring nations in the region,” said Lo Bue Antico, adding that “for Venezuela it represents not only an opportunity for trade, but also for the development of a close relationship of diplomatic cooperation.”
