Venezuela participates in the 34th Havana International Book Fair

Venezuela is participating in the 34th Havana International Book Fair (FILH) with a delegation from the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, which presents more than 150 titles from public, private and independent publishers in the country.
According to information from the Ministry for Culture, the Venezuelan stand includes publications from The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana and the Ayacucho Library, as well as an agenda of presentations by national writers.
Also, among the activities, the participation of Esmeralda Torres, winner of the Casa de las Américas Prize 2025 in poetry, stands out, who presented her work “Broken Lumbre Body” and this Friday she will present “Song of Stone”. The collection of poems “From being a language to not being forgotten”, by José Javier Sánchez, winner of the Ramón Palomares National Literature Biennial 2023, is also scheduled to be presented.
The fair, which began on August 10 and will end this Sunday, the 16th, brings together literary and cultural activities in different spaces of Havana under the premise of Reading is Growing. In addition, this edition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro and has Russia as a Guest Country of Honor.
