The Minister of People's Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, promoted Venezuela as a destination open to investment and the establishment of new international alliances during her participation in the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, in Russia.

At the meeting, the head of Tourism presented the national tourism offer to the Eurasian market and highlighted the potential of the sector as an engine of economic growth, job creation and strengthening connectivity.

“Tourism is no longer understood only as recreation, but as a true tool for economic growth, generating jobs, connectivity and development,” he said.

As part of his work schedule, Cabello held bilateral meetings with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov; the Minister of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov; and representatives of the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee.

The minister explained that these meetings seek to promote cooperation mechanisms aimed at promoting investment in Venezuelan tourism infrastructure. In addition, he noted that the country is going through a phase of reopening and reconnecting with strategic markets, in which tourism plays a key role.

He also mentioned that, as part of the positioning strategy, the Venezuelan Tourism Marketing Agency (VENETUR) maintains active promotion and marketing operations in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

‎ “We believe in sustainable and profoundly human tourism, capable of becoming the window to show the best side of our country,” said Cabello.

‎Con these actions, the National Executive seeks to strengthen the country's economy, through a competitive tourism sector open to international capital.
