Venezuela ratified its commitment to public health at the 78th World Health Assembly

The Ministry of Popular Power for Health actively participates in the 78th World Regional Health Assembly of the Americas, an event that takes place in Geneva, Switzerland, and brings together representatives from different countries, with the objective of debating and defining policies for strengthening health systems in the region.

During the assembly, Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment to the promotion of inclusive health policies and called on the international community to take a firm position in the face of problems affecting the well-being of peoples.

In this regard, the Deputy Minister of the Hospital Network, Manuel Rodríguez, presented the position of the Bolivarian Government in relation to the humanitarian crisis that Palestine is going through, stressing the urgency of global action to stop the escalation of violence and guarantee respect for the fundamental rights of its population.

In its intervention, Venezuela reiterated the importance of giving greater visibility to the Palestinian cause and of demanding concrete responses from the international community to the situation of total defenselessness in which women, children and the elderly find themselves in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan.
