Venezuela reaffirms strategic alliances with Mozambique and Namibia

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, reported that he held cordial meetings with authorities from Mozambique and Namibia, within the framework of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), which is being held in New York, where the country continues to promote a foreign policy based on solidarity, mutual respect and South-South cooperation.

In this regard, in his social media accounts, Gil specified that “during a cordial meeting in New York, we reaffirmed our strong bilateral ties with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, María Manuela dos Santos Lucas”.

He stressed that the joint commitment to strengthen and expand existing cooperation instruments in political, academic, diplomatic and multilateral spheres was ratified, with the purpose of consolidating a deeper and more effective relationship between the two nations.

The meeting with the Mozambican minister made it possible to review progress in bilateral collaboration and explore new opportunities for exchange in strategic areas.

Venezuela and Mozambique maintain a historic relationship in multilateral spaces such as the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries and the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter.

With this new approach, both governments reaffirm their will to build bridges of understanding and shared development, for the benefit of their peoples and the strengthening of international diplomacy.

Regarding the meeting with the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, Selma Ashipala-Musavy, Foreign Minister Gil thanked on behalf of the Bolivarian Government for its historic position in the defense of Peoples against aggressions, occupations and blockades.”

In addition, to strengthen ties of friendship and the commitment to enhance cooperation and exchange to promote the social and economic development of both nations.
