Venezuela continues to consolidate its voice at the XI International Forum of United Cultures, which takes place in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, where it has projected its cultural identity and reaffirmed the defense of the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation, Jesús Salazar Velázquez, highlighted the value of Venezuelan participation through the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, in this world event.

“This has been great that you (Villegas) came, that you made an appearance in St. Petersburg, at this Forum of United Cultures, since it gives a very high level to Venezuelan participation in a forum that allows us not only to project our culture and our Venezuelan spaces into world culture, but also allows us to promote the reporting of the aggressions of which Venezuela is a victim,” he said.

He also highlighted the expressions of affection and support for the Venezuelan people received by international delegations.

“I have observed, both in the organizers and in the participants from other countries, great solidarity, great appreciation, great esteem, demonstrated to the people of Venezuela through cordiality, solidarity greetings and the expression of respect for the courage of President Nicolás Maduro,” he stressed.

The ambassador also emphasized the impact of the bilateral cooperation spaces reached at the forum. “Russia is very happy that you (Villegas) have traveled so many hours to participate in this forum, the results of which will materialize after the private meeting you had with the Minister of Culture, in cooperation, especially in the area of cinematography and other spaces of cultural cooperation,” he added.

For his part, Villegas reaffirmed his pride in representing the Bolivarian nation in this international space. “And from here, from St. Petersburg, we always say with a swollen chest and a raised forehead: Long live Venezuela, my Beloved Homeland,” he said.

Venezuela's participation in the XI International Forum of United Cultures strengthens ties of friendship and solidarity with the world, while reaffirming its commitment to cultural diversity and exchange between nations.
