The Venezuelan women's baseball team won its third victory in the Pan-American Championship of the Discipline that is being held at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium in Macuto, in the state of La Guaira and remains undefeated.

In what was their third performance, the Criollas shut out 4 runs to 0 against Nicaragua, after the excellent work of the pitcher Marlyn Yéndez, who managed to silence the opposing bats.

Yéndez worked for seven innings in which he received a pair of hits, awarded one base on the balls and fanned 10.

In the offensive, second baseman Gabriela García stood out with a home run, a stripe pushed and another scored, followed by third baseman Kimberly Caicedo and first baseman Stephany Suárez, who each played a single to rule the score, according to the Ministry of Sport press report.

The defeat was borne by starter Elida Castillo after throwing 4.2 innings in which she received a trio of uncatchables, four scores, awarded three walks and struck out a rival, respectively.

Venezuela leads the standings with an undefeated record of three lauros without setbacks, followed by Mexico in the second place (2-0) and Cuba in the third (1-1), while Nicaragua (0-2) and Argentina (0-3) are fourth and fifth without victories so far.
