Venezuela won 13 medals in the Pan American Speed Skating Championship in Colombia

The Venezuelan skating team completed the 2026 Pan American Speed Skating Championship, held in Guarne, Antioquia, Colombia, with a total of 13 medals, distributed in three gold, one silver and nine bronze medals.

Diego Colmenares won the gold medal in the 200-meter finish line (MCM) followed by Daniela Bustamante who won the bronze medal in the 5,000 meters by points in the senior category, while Roberto García also took the podium by winning bronze in the 200-meter MCM senior.

Venezuela expanded its account thanks to the bronze medals won by Camila Cabanzo and Colmenares in the 500 meters farthest distance in the junior category, and García in senior, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The successes for the national representation with Angy Quintero who won the bronze medal in the 1,000 meters senior, while Colmenares once again stood out by winning the silver medal in the 1,000 meters in the junior category.

The closing of the fourth day was the most fruitful for Venezuela, because Bustamante added two new bronze medals to finish third in the 1,000 and 3,000 meters omnium senior.

For his part, José Rojas was proclaimed champion of the 1,000 meters omnium senior and later won bronze in the 600 meters omnium senior track, Garcia won another continental title in the 600 meters omnium track in the senior category.
