Venezuela won 7 medals in the 2025 Senior and Youth Pan American and South American Championship

The Venezuelan boating delegation won one gold medal, two silver and four bronze medals in the 2025 Senior and Youth Pan American and South American Championship, held in Asunción, Paraguay.

The duo formed by César Iglesia and Luis Guerra won the gold medal in the C2 500 meter race, when the stopwatch stopped at 1:46.35. They were escorted by Argentines Aramis Sánchez and Santiago Piedras (1:46.58), while the third place went to the Paraguayan brothers Christian and Alan Sola (1:47.18), according to the Ministry of Sports press.

In the women's K1 500 meters, Yoselin Canache won the silver medal with a time of 2:03.56, the gold medal went to Argentina's Brenda Rojas, champion with 1:59.02, and the bronze medal was won by Chile's Daniela Castillo, who completed the podium with 2:05.12.

For her part, the experienced Angélica Jiménez won bronze in the K1 500 meter race, recording 4:37.36. The gold was won by Argentina's María Garro (4:31.82), followed by Chile's Mira Toro (silver, 4:36.48).

Meanwhile, Iglesia returned to the podium after obtaining third place in C1 1000 meters, with a time of 4:21.58. The race was dominated by Chilean Matías Jiménez (4:13.71), followed by Argentinian Santiago Piedras (4:19.66).

The men's K4 500 meter team, made up of Ulises González, Cristian Canache, Ray Acuña and Daniel Román, won the bronze medal when they clocked 1:24.56. Argentina took the gold (1:22.99), followed by Chile with the silver (1:24.01).

In the women's K4 500 meters, the quartet made up of Wullianny Canache, Angélica Jiménez, Mara Guerrero and Yoselín Canache, took the silver medal with 1:41.51, behind the Argentine champions (1:37.94) and ahead of the Chilean champions, who won bronze (1:44.70).

Finally, the couple of Mara Guerrero and Angélica Jiménez won the bronze medal in the women's K2 500 meters event, with a time of 1:52.31. Gold went to Argentina (1:46.93) and silver to Chile (1:52.31), in a very tight final.
