The Minister of People's Power for Relations and Foreign Trade, Félix Plasencia, met, in Riyadh, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to strengthen the strategic alliance towards the Second Binational Joint Commission.
During the meeting, the diplomatic authorities highlighted “the historic and fundamental nature of the bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and Venezuela”, in addition to reaffirming the joint will of their governments to strengthen, through the next holding of the Second Joint Commission, “our historic energy relationship,” Plasencia said on his social networks.
In addition, the two nations ratified their commitment to maximize ties in the commercial area, as well as in agriculture, tourism and infrastructure, with joint investment projects.
“We exchanged widely about the responsibility of our countries in our regions of Latin America, the Caribbean and the Middle East, as well as about the current situation in each of them,” added the Venezuelan foreign minister.
Finally, Plasencia, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, thanked “the expressions of solidarity of the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as their willingness to accompany the efforts being promoted by our Government for the recovery and reconstruction of the areas affected by the double earthquake that recently hit Venezuela”.
