On October 12, the Embassy of Venezuela in the Arab Republic of Egypt, within the framework of the International Day in Support of the Peoples of Palestine and Lebanon, organized an informative conference at its headquarters, which was well attended, including ambassadors and heads of mission of the Republic of Cuba and the Plurinational State of Bolivia, as well as members of friendship and solidarity groups with Venezuela, party organizations, students and traditional and alternative media.

In his slogans, Ambassador Wilmer Barrientos expressed, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, the Bolivarian Government and the Venezuelan people, his feelings of gratitude to the attendees for attending this call in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese brothers, organized by Venezuela, at a time when the Zionist regime of Israel is intensifying its aggression against these populations, which threatens regional peace and stability.

He reported that the day was also commemorated in Venezuela the Day of Indigenous Resistance, decreed by the Bolivarian Government in recognition of the value of the original peoples of Our America who defended their lands with dignity against the European colonizer.

The Head of Mission reiterated Venezuela's historic position of unalterable support for the Palestinian cause and support for the Arab Peace Initiative for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State, with the borders existing in 1967 and with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with resolutions of international legitimacy.

He stressed that, in the course of recent events in the Gaza Strip, the Government of Venezuela has expressed its deep concern about developments in the Gaza Strip.

Ambassador Barrientos also indicated that the Bolivarian Government condemned, in the strongest terms, the attacks carried out by Israel against Lebanon, which caused an atrocious massacre, in addition to the assassination of the political leader of the Lebanese militia, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah.

He asserted that President Nicolás Maduro has reiterated that Bolivarianism cannot remain silent in the face of injustice and, for this reason, Venezuela has denounced that there is a massacre and a massive violation of the rights to life of the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon.

During the event, the Cuban ambassador, Manuel Rubido, and the Bolivian chargé d'affaires, Edwin Rivero Quisbert, reaffirmed the positions of their countries, which condemn the aggression against the Palestinians and urge respect for their independence through the establishment of their independent State with the borders existing in 1967 and with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Those attending the session, in addition to expressing words of gratitude for organizing the activity in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon, condemned the genocide being practiced by Israeli forces, threatening to extend military operations to other countries and plunge the region into total conflict. They reaffirmed the Egyptian people's continued support for the Palestinian people in their quest for independence and self-determination.

The occasion was propitious to form the Anti-Fascist International, Egypt Chapter, which will aim to mobilize political forces, social movements, cultural organizations and digital networks to counter disinformation, reject international interference, defend the sovereignty of nations and support the Bolivarian Revolution against the conspiracy of the extreme right and its allies.
