Venezuelan long-distance runners win Pan-American Road Cycling Championship in Colombia

Long distance runners Jennifer Lagos and Andrés López shone with silver and bronze respectively on the asphalt of the Pan-American Road Cycling Championship, held last weekend in the Colombian municipality of Montería.
Jennifer Lagos got the big score on asphalt in the women's road race that lasted 67 kilometers.
The Zulian Andrés López, who fought alone the 22.6 kilometers of the route to finish +31 behind the leader, won the bronze medal.
The participation of youth cycling leaves a hopeful picture that is reflected in the two metals achieved and the valuable points added to the UCI ranking in view of the upcoming classifications for international events, the Ministry of People's Power for Sport said in a press release.
