Venezuelan people mobilize in Caracas for the 165th anniversary of the Battle of Saint Agnes

From Libertador Avenue in Caracas, the patriotic ranks mobilized for the 165th anniversary of the Battle of Santa Inés in 1859, in tribute to the liberation struggle.

Peasants, fishermen, community members, workers and students have come out in defense of the policies promoted since the Revolution through the agrarian struggle promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

The community member, Luis Virgüez, assured that “President Maduro accelerates the interests of community producers in Venezuela,” he also added that “we have been working from the grassroots, we are moving forward step by step and next December 15 we will attend the elections of justices of the peace, for the communes or nothing”

For her part, the president of the National Peasant Union movement, Rosibel Zamora, stated that “all working women were present to remember the Battle of Saint Agnes, in the midst of sanctions, in the face of the blockade, peasants produce more”.
