In a joint operation by the security forces of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, 3,077 kilograms of marijuana that were in a boat in the state of Falcón were seized.
The Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace highlighted in a statement that the procedure was carried out in the Pico de Zamuro sector, “where eight Venezuelan citizens were apprehended aboard a rock-type vessel equipped with five high-cylinder engines.”
The entity said that the operation, carried out in perfect popular - military - police fusion, was carried out by the Anti-Drug Division of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) and the Strategic Operations Group (GOES), in coordination with the Territorial Defensive System.
The procedure was carried out under a deployment of intelligence and investigation that made it possible to neutralize this criminal structure, which “reaffirms the commitment of the Venezuelan State to continue to carry out certain blows against structured organized crime groups, which intend to use our territory for drug trafficking,” the statement said.
