Venezuelan women's handball will compete in the IHF Championship in Peru ahead of the 2026 Youth and Junior World Championships

The Venezuelan women's handball team, in the youth and junior categories, will be present at the IHF Trophy 2025 International Championship, South American Zone, which will be held from July 23 to 27 in Lima, Peru.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports, the tournament was organized by the International Federation (IHF) and the South American Handball Confederation, and will serve to qualify for the Intercontinental Phase of the IHF Trophy, and will award places for the World Youth and Junior Championships 2026.
The competition will take place at the Sports Center 1 of the National Sports Village (VIDENA), which will host six South American teams: Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and French Guiana.
The Venezuelan youth team is under the technical direction of Abril Quintana and Jefferson Castro, and is composed of the players Angely Ramos, Luisyeri Hernández, Elimar Machado, Nilda Pérez, Keilimar Pérez, Oscarly Guilarte, Nathacha Parra, Zabdiel Mendoza, Enmary Gutiérrez, Greimar Palacios, Deymar Andrade, Massiel Loyo, Briannelys Bocoul, Mayerlin Arreaza, Bárbara Yánez and Ailee Matei Leal.
Meanwhile, the junior team, led by Yoselin Chirinos and Ángel Rodríguez, has a squad, made up of Roxangel Torrelles, Andreína Espinoza, Yulianny Mora, Luismar Calanche, Gleidys Ojeda, Marlin Loaiza, Susej Dulce Uribe, Estefanie Torrealba, Paola Orellana, Gabrielys Rodríguez, Bárbara Torrealba, Ángela Rincón, Zaidiana Ortega, Marielys Ventura and Victoria Jiménez.
