Vice Chancellor of Honduras thanked ALBA-TCP for supporting his nation

This Saturday, December 14, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Honduras, Gerardo Torres Zelaya, extended his thanks to the member countries and social movements of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) for maintaining solidarity and support for their nation in the face of the aggressions and attacks of imperialism.

“I want to thank ALBA for never ceasing to support Honduras, the governments of the Bolivarian Alternative never stopped supporting my country, when we, under the guidance of President Manuel Zelaya, took to the streets together, then first lady, and now president Xiomara Castro, and we resisted the opprobious narco-dictatorship for 12 years and 7 months and took back the place at the head of the government of Honduras,” he said during the XXIV ALBA-TCP Summit in Caracas.

He emphasized that today the call is to continue fighting and to continue resisting so that every nation in Latin America and the Caribbean can claim its place at the table of ALBA, which works for the well-being, independence and equality of peoples.

He also referred to President Xiomara Castro's consolidated achievements in favor of Hondurans. At the same time, he highlighted the inspiration that Venezuela has proved to be to continue fighting in the face of threats and attacks.

In addition, he highlighted the importance of continuing to unite and strengthen Latin American and Caribbean integration mechanisms in favor of meeting the needs of Peoples and confronting free trade agreements that seek global inequality and imbalance.
