This Tuesday, the executive vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to extend the cooperation map between the two nations.

Through his Telegram channel, he reported on “an important working meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, in which we reviewed our bilateral relationship and examined different sectors where there may be a common interest in the development of both Peoples”.

“During the pleasant meeting, we thanked our delegation for its warm welcome and on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we congratulated the 53rd anniversary of the National Day of the United Arab Emirates and highlighted the feat of the Battle of Ayacucho 200 years ago,” he published.

Likewise, Rodríguez highlighted that Venezuela and the UAE have a common history that “they share in the spaces of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and now in OPEC+, where they have joined forces for the stability and defense of the global energy market.”

With this working visit, Venezuela reaffirms its willingness to promote ties with the UAE, which, like our country, is a nation rich in energy resources.

Both nations are part of OPEC and share other important spaces in multilateral organizations such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77+ China.
