The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Tuesday, October 14, a strategic working day with the Board of Directors of Petrleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) and the Deputy Ministers of Hydrocarbons, with the objective of consolidating the Hydrocarbons Engine and promoting the nation's energy independence, a meeting that served to evaluate the progress of the crucial Oil and Gas Production Plan 2025.
During the session, refining and chemical plans were reviewed in depth, in addition to discussing advances in the new forms of business promoted by PDVSA with national and international investors.
This energy policy is based on sovereignty and transparency, which seeks to attract productive capital under favorable conditions for the country and ensure sustainable development of the sector.
The event takes place a few days after Vice President Rodríguez's outstanding participation in the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2025, where she presented Venezuela's strategic vision to global leaders.
In this context, it is essential to highlight that the country has the largest gas reserves in the hemisphere, with projections that could place it among the four largest reserves in the world, and shares 24 percent of the planet's energy with Russia.
In the midst of attempts at hegemonic domination by the United States over energy resources, Vice President Rodríguez has reiterated the role of Venezuela within the new multipolar world being built by the BRICS countries.
“Thanks to the strategic vision of the Democratic Party. @NicolasMaduroMoros and the unwavering commitment of all our oil, gas and petrochemical workers, the Hydrocarbons Engine continues to make strong progress to strengthen our energy industry and position Venezuela in the international market,” Rodríguez highlighted in his account on the social network Telegram.
The Bolivarian Government, through these high-level meetings, ratifies its commitment to the recovery and development of the oil and gas industry.
The strategy focuses on ensuring sovereign control over resources, strengthening domestic productive capacities and positioning Venezuela as a key actor in the global energy architecture, at the service of building a more just and equitable world order.
