The Venezuelan people want to live in peace and that is why they have joined the military enlistment day massively, to send a message to the world to speak out about the threats against our country so that peace diplomacy can prevail, said the vice-president of the National Electoral Council, Carlos Quintero.
From Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, Quintero assured that the Venezuelan people, historically, have exercised their sovereignty through voting, but under the circumstances they have had to move to a new stage to defend national peace.
“Today we are in a new phase and the only way we can keep peace is with national unity. That is why we are on the street today demanding that the will of the Venezuelan people be respected and (ratifying) that we are going to build peace in democracy. We will always be attentive to any circumstance to defend our country, our territorial integrity,” he emphasized.
In the same way, Quintero emphasized the importance of promoting diplomacy to ensure peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.
For his part, the president of the Electoral Power, Elvis Amoroso, emphasized the call to Venezuelans to defend the Homeland and ensure respect for our sovereignty.
“There is no fear here, nor should there be. What there is is courage, as Bolívar and our heroes who toured America to give him freedom taught us,” he emphasized.
In the same way, Amoroso congratulated the massive participation of the men and women of the CNE who massively attended to join the ranks of the Bolivarian National Militia.
