This Thursday, October 3rd, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized that 125 years after the creation of the null Arbitration Award of 1899, Venezuela remains firm in its rejection of this agreement between the British Crown and the United States.

On his Instagram account, he highlighted that Venezuela “rejects this ruling, which sought to validate an irritated agreement between the British Crown and the United States to strip our country of its Essequibo territory.”

“Even today, they insist on wanting to validate in order to steal our immense energy wealth in that territory,” he said.

In this regard, to resolve the aforementioned controversy, Rodríguez said: “There is only the Geneva Agreement of 1966 to resolve this territorial dispute.”

Venezuela's legitimate rights and titles over that territory are indisputable!” , he ruled.

For this reason, he said: “The Sun of Venezuela is rising in the Essequibo! ”.
