The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, recalled that this Tuesday, December 3rd, marks one year since the Venezuelan people, with an overwhelming and leading participation in the Consultative Referendum, ratified that Guiana Essequiba belongs to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, “based on our inalienable historical and legal rights over this territory.”
In his account on the social network Telegram, he noted that “on that day, as never before in our history, Venezuela in national unity took a fundamental step in the defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
He stressed that his massive participation raised “his voice against the fraudulent Paris Arbitration Award and Guyana's pretensions to hand over our wealth to transnational corporations, violating international law and the Geneva Agreement.”
“All of Venezuela, together with Pdte. @ NicolasMaduroMoros, will continue to defend what for historical and legal reasons belongs to him. The Essequibo is ours, more ours than ever,” he emphasized.
