Vice President Rodríguez: Venezuela joins the International Trade Facilitation Agreement

This Wednesday, June 12, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that Venezuela was able to formally enter the International Trade Facilitation Agreement , which is being carried out by the World Trade Organization.

“This means a 14% reduction in our costs in foreign trade and also that our industry is more competitive,” said the Venezuelan Minister of Economy and Finance during the National Council for Productive Economy in the Los Llanos Region.

He emphasized that this decision by the World Trade Organization was made despite resistance “from the delegations of the United States and some satellite countries”

He also highlighted that this achievement of Venezuela was consolidated thanks to the negotiations that took place with the World Trade Organization, which were led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the various authorities of the country.
