The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the growth of domestic production this Wednesday, reaffirming that Venezuela's path is the impetus of all economic sectors of the country to continue moving forward.

In this regard, during the Expoforo Empresarial Venezuela Productiva 2030, he highlighted that thanks to the increase in production, there was a decrease in import substitution. ”

“73% reduction in rice imports, 57% reduction in corn imports, 85% reduction in sugar imports, 90% reduction in pasta production, 30% reduction in drugs imported, but at the same time we had increased drug production by 27%; this replacement of imports occurred with domestic production and that is the Venezuelan path, domestic production, ” he said.

He specified that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in addition to policies to increase domestic production, has also had a policy of protecting the effective protection rate that already exceeds 14%.

He stressed that for this purpose, the Ministry of National Commerce works in an articulated manner with the productive sectors, with the objective of continuing to sustain a productive economy that projects Venezuela for the coming decades.

He reaffirmed that the strengthening of the Venezuelan economy is the product of a great effort that has been made, in the midst of blockades, sanctions and attacks against our Homeland.
