The Venezuelan U20 national soccer team beat its Costa Rican counterpart 2-1 as a
visitor in a friendly match, played at the FCRF PLYCEM
Sports Complex, in San José.
The Venezuelan Nicola Profeta was in charge of opening the score in the 13th minute from
the penalty spot. While his teammate Jesús Duarte
extended the lead for Venezuela with a shot in the heart of the box at 67'.
For the locals, the discount was achieved by Esteban
Cruz at 76'.
This is the first match of the two friendly games that will be played by Ricardo Valiño against the Ticos, the next one will be on Thursday, March 7.
