Vietnam's‎Canciller pays tribute to Ho Chi Minh in Caracas

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Hoai Trung, placed a wreath this Wednesday before the bust of his country's revolutionary leader, Ho Chi Minh, on the Paseo de la Revolucion, located on Bolivar Avenue in Caracas, next to the Vietnam ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My; the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante; the second vice-president of the National Assembly, Grecia Colmenares; deputies of the Parliament, members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), social movements and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Minister Hoai Trung assured, during his speech, that Ho Chi Minh's political and libertarian thinking is still in force. “Its focus on national sovereignty, anti-imperialism and social justice continues to inspire liberation movements among the peoples of the global south,” he said.
‎Reafirmó strengthen relations between both peoples to strengthen Peace Diplomacy, promote economic-commercial cooperation and the development of new alliances.
‎Respecto to Vietnam's diplomatic strategy in international relations, the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante, urged the Venezuelan people to take Bamboo Diplomacy as an example, whose resilience strategy is to remain firm in the face of any adversity.
‎ “The Asian country is striving to maintain its independence and sovereignty, oriented towards economic development, seeking to attract investment and expand its trade relations,” he said.

‎El head of Vietnamese diplomacy arrived in the country this Tuesday and was welcomed at the Yellow House “Antonio José de Sucre”, in the capital city, by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil.

He also held a fruitful meeting with the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, in order to evaluate and review bilateral relations that are defined under the concept of a Strategic Cooperation Partnership.
