This Saturday, April 18, the Vinotinto women's U17 soccer team won the title of the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, winning the gold medal, after beating Paraguay 2-1.
The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports (MPPD), in its Instagram account, specifies that the goals were scored by Astrid Granadillo 11' and Dariana Medina 54' .
“The under-17 women finished UNDEFEATED and Champions of the IV South American Youth Games after defeating the Paraguayan national team 2-1 in the final,” she highlights in her publication.
This championship not only adds a new gold medal to the national medal table, but it also reaffirms the sustained growth and competitive potential of women's youth categories in Venezuela, which have positioned themselves as references in the South American region.
