Vladimir Padrino López: We will never abandon the path of freedom, sovereignty and independence

The Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, issued a statement on the occasion of the 214th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Independence of Venezuela in which he highlighted the courageous actions of the men and women who, on April 19, 1810, established a position before the Spanish Empire with a resounding No.

“It was the brave Venezuelan people who, stripping away from Spanish ignominy, sealed with that rebellious cry the prelude to the liberating feat that would give birth to the First Republic,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he indicated that more than 200 years after this transcendent event, the civic-military union remains firm in defense of its sovereignty.

“We continue to follow the path that we will never abandon: that of freedom, sovereignty and independence,” he emphasized.
