This Monday, July 1st, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the red awning press conference, in which he highlighted the participation of the People in the Electoral Simulation convened by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

- “I'm not allowed to talk about numbers, but whoever sees my face, we don't have bad faces, we can't. Yesterday was a big demonstration all over the country, people were moving by motorbike, car on foot (...) they were crowded, so much so that the CNE had to extend the closure”.
- Yesterday helped the revolutionary forces to “check, verify, as we always do, quietly, doing our job”.
- “We have been very excited since the PSUV and the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), but beyond emotion there is the rational thing to draw conclusions from these things, this event for which we congratulate the CNE for its planning and execution is a sample of what is going to happen on July 28.”
- “Voting for us is easy, wherever you see the face of (Hugo) Chávez and the face of Nicolás (Maduro), there he is up there and on the left. Ready!”
- “Elections are won with votes, to secure votes, structures are needed to guarantee mobilization to ensure presence.”
- “Let's not fall into triumphalism and all the mistakes that could have been made yesterday (in the electoral simulation) to be corrected.

He also stressed that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the Bolivarian Revolution are the only ones that guarantee peace and stability in the country.
- It was President Nicolás Maduro who restored peace and tranquility to Venezuelans, following calls for violence and destabilization of the opposition in previous years.
- “What these people most yearn for is to live in peace and tranquility (...) and that has been achieved by Venezuelans and by the permanent work of the Government.”
- “Despite the aggressions and sanctions, Venezuela has risen thanks to its people.”
- “What awaits Venezuela is more dialogue, more willingness for national union and for us all to turn Venezuela into that nation that we all dream of.”

Faced with the violent actions of the Venezuelan opposition, he stressed that revolutionaries are not going to allow them.
- “They are sad because we know them and their hatred has not stopped, but their hatred will not derail us, we continue on the path of peace and tranquility in this country.”
- “We will not allow violence in any sector and we have told our people not to fall into provocations, because they (the right) live setting traps.”
- “When an opposition leader threatens Chavism, as they did yesterday in the way they did, they are trying to provoke acts of violence.”
- “We are not afraid of elections (...) we know what needs to be done and we are doing it.”

In the same way, given the interference of some countries in the internal affairs of Venezuela, he emphasized that the only referee in the elections of July 28 is the National Electoral Council (CNE).
- “The European Union is nothing, it is one of the oldest, most ineffective organizations in the world, they serve to be behind the United States. The European Union can't give us lessons about anything.”
- “Here the rules are set by the CNE.”
- “We are not making elections to have sanctions lifted, here in Venezuela it is time for elections and they are governed by the National Electoral Council.”

On the other hand, Cabello highlighted Venezuela's achievements in the field of sports.
- “Congratulations to all that Vinotinto team that beat Jamaica 3-0 and went undefeated”
- “We bring more joy to the country, because we also have Yulimar who is recovering and we are sure that he will overcome the injury.”
- In addition, we have 30 qualified for the Olympic Games and 23 for the Paralympic Games. We are still growing!
