This Thursday, April 25, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, stressed from Biscucuy, Portuguese state, that revolutionary forces will remain deployed throughout the country to demand the lifting of sanctions; in addition to reaffirming his support for President Nicolás Maduro in order to consolidate the victory of July 28.

In this regard, he indicated that about this Town and its demands the following:

  • “This is an organized, clear, conscious town that knows what it has to do, which is why today the town of Biscucuy and this entire coffee area has taken to the streets to say: Biden lifts the blockade now”.
  • “To be able to work in peace, to be able to lift up his family.”
  • “From Biscucuy, to this people, women and men, we can tell the world what they said to Commander Chávez, the same thing they said to President Nicolás Maduro: No one gives up here! , here we are with the Bolivarian Revolution! More revolutionary than ever, more anti-imperialist than ever.”
  • “This people is noble, loving; but this people know who the enemy is, those who said yesterday that without them and they there can be no elections, today they are with the candidate of the empire, today they are with the candidate of the gringos, as it should be; we are with the candidate of the People of the Revolution who is Nicolás Maduro Moros”.
  • “Here is a people, that people who know all the effort that brother Nicolás (Maduro) has put into it to move forward and help. This is a conscious people, who are clear that imperialism is not going to lift sanctions.”

Regarding imperialism and its lackeys, he said:

  • “He has no word, he never does what he says and besides, he always lies.”
  • The United States Government had committed to Venezuela to lifting sanctions after the announcement of the electoral date and schedule, “and imperialism has done just the opposite.”
  • “Now the United States has a candidate who defends sanctions, who asks for more blockade against Venezuela, has a candidate who insults Venezuelan women, has a candidate who doesn't like blacks, a candidate who doesn't want the Afro-descendant population, who doesn't want our native indigenous peoples.”
  • They come from the United States (USA) asking for interventionist measures against Venezuela “and suddenly they come here as candidates... So life is a ham, a butter! I asked for persecution, sanctions, now I ask for your vote!”
  • If the candidate doesn't want our original peoples, he doesn't want this people, because we all “have black and Indian roots in our blood (...) Do you know then what his proposal is? Their proposal is exclusion, persecution and continuing to call for sanctions and blockades.”
  • “The candidate of imperialism, is the candidate who is going to give up our wealth, is the candidate who is going to persecute our People; he is the candidate that they are going to put here to persecute our People.”

Regarding the Revolution and the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said:

  • President Nicolás's proposal is to continue to grow in peace, it is to continue to achieve the economic consolidation of our country, it is to continue working for the good of all.”
  • We are going to “guarantee peace in our country”, through the UPPAZ (Popular Units for Peace).
  • The Chavista forces that must send a message of unity and revolutionary conscience.
  • We will go house to house to ask the population if they have any discomfort with the revolutionary process, stressing that discontent must be directed “against those who called for blockades and sanctions”.
  • “Brother President, here is this town on the street and from here we say: On July 28 we are going with Nicolás, because Maduro is the one of Chávez, Maduro is the people, Maduro is the people of the country”.
  • “We are working miracles with the People, but above all for the conscience and morals of this People.”
  • “On July 28, in homage to Commander Chávez, we are going to give him the greatest popular victory in recent years.”
  • We are going out to seek wide participation to achieve, in the coming presidential elections, a great revolutionary victory.

On the subject of misogyny, he specified:

  • “Imagine that tomorrow someone from these people (extremist opposition) comes around and the women ask you why did you say that about Venezuelan women? Do you know what he or she is going to say? That's a lie, that's the first thing they're going to say because they're shameless, they're manipulative.”
  •  “Venezuelan women should open a debate across Venezuela to condemn the attacks.”
  • “Any government can have policies for women, but in a Revolution policies must be aimed directly at women.”
  • “A revolution must have a feminist character, a revolution must have the character of respect for women, of tolerance for women and that women assume the leadership role as they have always been in revolution.”
