Winter storms in the United States leave 40 people dead

This Thursday, US authorities reported that winter storms have affected much of the North American country.

In this regard, the competent agencies detailed that the storms have left at least 40 dead in the cities of Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin, since January 12.

According to what was published on the TELESUR website, cold waves have caused damage to the electrical system in several states, for example, Oregon, where more than 85,000 homes were left without electricity service.
