The Venezuelan women's soccer delegation continues with a firm step in the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, beating the Colombian national team 1-0. In an exciting match that was defined by an agonizing goal in the 90+3 minute, the national team managed to consolidate their group's first place in the tournament.

The technical director of the Vinotinto women's national team, Dayana Frías, highlighted the efforts of her players to compete at the highest level: “More than happiness, I recognize their efforts, who faced a Colombia that stood up to defend, but we knew how to take advantage of the qualities of our team to be able to solve the game.”

After this result, the Venezuelan national team will face the winning team between Panama and Paraguay for the gold medal next Saturday.
