WTT Youth Contender 2026 arrived in Caracas

The World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender Caracas 2026 will bring together more than 150 athletes, coaches and referees from eight countries at the Popper López gymnasium from June 24 to 27, the Ministry of Sports reported.
During the presentation of the tournament, sports authorities, representatives of World Table Tennis and spokespersons from the Ministry of Sports highlighted Venezuela's organizational progress as a venue for international competitions and noted that institutional support supports the continuity of the event.
Deputy Minister Henyelberth Herrera said that the National Government supports the planning of the championship and recognized the training work of the Venezuelan Table Tennis Federation to strengthen the foundations of the discipline.
The supervisor of the WTT, David Gallego, thanked the Venezuelan State for its support and maintained that the local organization meets international standards, which supports future applications for larger scale events.
The federal president, Danir Balbás, indicated that the tournament is part of the high-performance strategy and confirmed the participation of delegations from India, Slovakia, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago and Curaçao in the under-11, under-13, under-15, under-17 and under-19 categories.
Balbás recalled that this will be the fourth consecutive edition of the championship in Caracas and stated that the continuity has made it possible to raise the levels of organization with institutional support and sponsors.
