The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, is denounced on social networks for xenophobic practices against Venezuelans who donate blood to save the lives of compatriots who need to be transmerged and to support Chilean blood banks, the Venezuela News website reported.

According to the publication, a citizen identified as Dafne Cobo Buschbeck made a complaint through her social networks in which she specified that her cousin's health is at risk, since it requires eight blood donors and the Chilean Ministry of Health prohibits those born in Venezuela from participating in the donation process.

“Venezuelans refuse to donate blood in Chile and to stabilize a family member, those who offer their blood must be Chileans,” he said, while noting that the highest health body in Chile indicated that they are not authorized because, according to their origin, they come from a territory with malaria.”

The response of the affected party with regard to this theory is that they have not set foot on Venezuelan territory for more than seven years, so there is no such possibility.
