Yaracuy artisans make toys for boys and girls affected by a seismic double

Artisans, wristbands and volunteers from Yaracuy state began making toys for children in the areas most affected by the double earthquake of June 24.

The state spokeswoman for the National Association of Artisan and Artisan Toy Manufacturers of Venezuela, Andrea Suspes, reported that the day will run until next Friday, taking place in the spaces of the Carmelo Fernández Museum in San Felipe, Yaracuy.

“We make handmade toys and we urge the community to contribute with those they have at home and no longer use. All to bring a little joy and peace of mind to those children who today are suffering the consequences of the devastating earthquakes experienced last week,” Suspes said, quoted by the local press.

The craftswoman commented that they have made puppets, rag dolls and educational games of all kinds, for children of different ages.
