The youth of the state of Carabobo began this Saturday a series of territorial assemblies with the objective of defining the projects that will be presented at the next national popular consultation. These meetings are part of the mobilization organized by the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements, under the direction of Minister Ángel Prado, in order to strengthen citizen participation in the prioritization of infrastructure and community services.
During the opening day at the entity, youth spokespersons and representatives of community councils established the basis for identifying urgent needs in their sectors.
The initiative seeks to channel public resources through mechanisms of direct democracy, allowing the population to have the power to decide on investment plans that will directly impact the quality of life of the inhabitants of the various Carabobeño municipalities.
The application process will take place simultaneously in different parts of the state, encouraging leadership and collective organization in the territories. The call highlights the active role of young people in the management of public policies, in line with the national deployment that the country is preparing for the second day of citizen consultation, scheduled for July 12, 2026, when the final projects to be implemented in each community will be chosen.
This dynamic of joint work between the National Executive and the grass-roots organizations seeks to ensure that the budgetary distribution responds to the requirements detected by the neighbors themselves.
The Carabobo region seeks to consolidate a model of participatory governance where Popular Power, accompanied by organized youth, assumes the leading role in the transformation of its local reality and in the construction of the Community Sowing Plan and other social development agendas.
