Yván Gil: Venezuela is the platform for telling the truth

This Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, kicked off the Voices of the New World Forum that is taking place in the city of Caracas. Space that brings together communicators from various countries of the Global South, who exchange knowledge and experience to face the media blockade on a daily basis.

Gil valued the work of journalists around the world. “Venezuela is the platform for telling the truth,” he said and highlighted the courage and courage of the social communicator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sahar Emami, who continued her work in the midst of the attack perpetrated by Israel against the Broadcasting Organization (IRIB) on June 16, during a live broadcast.

Likewise, the Venezuelan foreign minister recognized the impulse of communicators, not only from Venezuela, but from around the world, who advocate establishing the truth in the face of neofascism and colonialism.

“It is an honor to start this forum, giving relevance to a great cause for humanity, such as the case of the Palestinian people; when we talk about Palestine, we are not talking about just a territory in Western Asia. It is life that is at stake, it is a fight of good against evil,” said the foreign minister, adding that the cause is also that of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

More than 120 guests from the communication sector from 50 countries, who were invited to the Voices of the New World Forum, which is taking place at the Teresa Carreño Theater.
