The National Government is working to incorporate nearly 600 new megawatts into the National Electricity System (SEN) in a short period of time, said Diosdado Cabello Rondón, the sector's vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace.
“Today we have an energy demand that is the highest in the entire history of Venezuela. One of the reasons for this increase is that we are producing more, with respect to what is taxed to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP),” said Cabello during a meeting with economic and political sectors of the state of Zulia, as part of the beginning of the second stage of the national pilgrimage to demand the end of sanctions against the country.
In this regard, Cabello stressed that the National Government is working daily on formulas to improve the electricity supply in the entity, which is “in the queue” of every SEN. “Every holy day we evaluate proposals for the issue of improving electricity in Zulia,” he emphasized.
In the same way, he stressed that to improve energy supply in the country it is necessary to make a large investment of money, which has been limited by the blockade imposed on our country.
