The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that Venezuela has always opened doors for those who come to work, referring to all the immigrants who arrived in the country after the Second World War.

“I want to recognize those men and women who after the Second War came here, to Venezuela (...), who believed in this country and picked up their things, their boys and came here to work; they came here and this country opened its doors to them, as well as brothers, as we have always done with everyone who visits our country,” Cabello said during a meeting with different sectors of the country in Cabimas, state Zulia, as part of the second phase of the National Pilgrimage.

He also reaffirmed that Venezuela has never persecuted anyone because of their nationality. “We have never put someone's nationality first to persecute them and for that reason I thank and recognize all that number of people who decided to choose Venezuela as their second homeland.”

In this regard, he said that for many, Venezuela is truly like their first homeland, because “here they stayed forever with their families, working for this country.”

In the same way, he recognized Venezuelans, as well as the original peoples who, with their ancestral power, have always worked for this Homeland.
